The Party of Equestrian Labor (Equestrian: Partej af Elųnessian Lauwe; Equestrian pronunciation: //), also known as the Equestrian Labor Party or just Labor is one of the seven major contemporary political parties of the Federation of Equestria. Originally established by Jeissem Talve Areides in 1902, the Labor Party quickly came to establish itself as a significant force in Manehattan politics. Espousing an openly socialist ideology of "socialization and seiz[ing] the means", the party played well with the working class of the city, and in the 1905 mayoral elections, a Labor candidate came second after Tsarje Mithes. Mithes himself became a Labor member on 1907, and in 1915 Firosoga Diyaa af Mania became the party's first elected official when she won the mayoral office. Although the party would not return to mayoral control of Manehattan until the 1980s, the party's performance in mayoral elections would kickstart their control over the Manihettania Provincial Territory.
